Gigabyte’s G1.Killer motherboard with upcoming Intel Z97 chipset for Haswell Refresh processors gets pictured, but one can’t help but imagine the colour scheme is awfully close to MSI’s gaming series motherboards.
As far as specs are concerned, the Z97 G1.Killer motherboard uses 8 phase power VRM with support of up to 64GB dual channel DDR3 with 2x PCIe x16 which runs at x8/x8 mode. There’s also support of up to 6x SATA 6Gb/s, a total of six USB 3.0 ports, 7.1 channel audio via Creative Core3D with switchable OPAMPS, ‘audiophile grade’ electrolytic capacitors, Broadcom-Killer E2100 PCIe NIC and Gigabyte’s dual-UEFI BIOS support.
It should be noted however that Asus posted a comparison showing that Intel NIC I1217-V is better than Killer NIC E2200. It was also highlighted in a test done by Guru3D that they couldn’t find any performance benefits between the Killer NIC E2200 with Intel NIC.
